Black Cat: Faux Taxidermy

Created from a bobcat rug shell I found at the estate sale of local taxidermist which I had to convert to a shoulder form. Sculpted the ears by hand from epoxy clay. Wasn't sure what to do with it after that, but I had a bunch of left-over duct tape from a different project that I decided to put to use - this is the result. After a coat of matte black to the exterior, I painted the eyes and mouth with a layer of 24K gold.

This piece already sold, but I've always wanted to make another. I only wish I had room in my dorm!
