Black Wolf Skin Face Mask II by NaturePunk Black Wolf Skin Face Mask II by NaturePunk
The wolf whose face was used for this creation was legally culled for population control by Alaska Natives, who use the meat, bones, and rest of the hides for clothing and traditional crafts. It came from a very, VERY big wolf with prime winter fur. It has been professionally tanned and treated to ensure it will last a long time to come.

I have hand-molded the skin over a hand-carved form to make this mask. It can be tied on top or over the wearer's head, depending on preference. Two additional straps feature red glass beads so that you can secure feathers or other charms to it for additional interestingness.

NOTE: This wolf was NOT purchased from trophy hunters or any fur farm. I do not believe in supporting such people or establishments by buying animal parts directly from them.

Top marks for photography! I'd pay you just to have a photoshoot done with one of your wolves. :D

Thanks! The image was snapped by my friend Julia, but I did the settings on the camera and whatnot. Either way, I can't take full credit for it. ;)

Oh my god, if I had $130...haha.
I've actually wanted to try this. I can never find a big enough face, though; only coyotes!

This wolf was actually too big for me! I've only seen one face that was bigger, and that was off an 83" long alpha male. I'm getting more faces in soon, and I'll be making them into masks, as well. Just hoping that they'll be a bit smaller! :)

I'll keep my eyes open! I love all the work you do, I'd get a headdress too if I could. xD
And wow, 83"? That's a big dog.

Thank you! And yes, the 83" wolf is the biggest I've ever had. He dwarfs me in size, even as a headdress!

The jacket was my friend Julia's. It's faux fur, but I'm going to take that stuff off and replace it with a panel of brown mink skin instead. :) It's for my outfit for Burning Man this year!

Burning Man is in the middle of nowhere in Nevada, but it would be AWESOME if you could come with us one of these years!

Yeah I looked it up. We have to go, and find a lady called Rebecca Caldwell. She made this:[link] . The should be there, she's there most years.

That is SOOOO cool. I have a friend who made a fire-breathing shark truck for B-man, but it's not as artsy or unique as that.
