Kenai of the Oregon Zoo, staring out from behind a pile of evergreen left as enrichment in his enclosure, gives Jake and I a rather intense once-over before continuing his play.

Though he has a silvered muzzle and light chin, he is actually still under two years of age. Many black wolves turn completely silver as they grow older.
