Description

Finally found an excuse to work on the lioness headdress (I’m keeping the reason a secret until the 27th!). But here are a few work-in-progress images. The mouth still needs to be worked, and the eyes ‘n ears still need to be tweaked before it’s set to dry; then it’s on to painting and finishing work. 

Pulled an all-nighter to work on this. The form was much too big so there was a lot of shaving and claywork to be done. 


The hide used came from a captive-raised lioness who was part of a breeding program in South Africa. She died of natural causes.
