Mule deer headdress made on commission for a film firm who will use this piece in a short film later in the year. This one was done with just the cape, not the full hide, so its easier to wear and is much lighter than my first 'blind' deer headdress.
Like the first one, THIS PIECE HAS BEEN CREATED FROM A RECYCLED PELT. The deer came to me from a man who works at a meat processing plant, and several of these capes were found in the basement. Being that the age on the tan was unknown, he sold me this cape nice and cheap, and only charged me once I rehydrated it to be sure it wasn't slipping.
Everything worked out well, and I actually like this one better than my first. The quality of my taxidermy work has improved so much so that I actually want to re-do the first one, but now with the influx of new commissions, I'll never have time.
Note: I did not kill this animal. If you have time to accuse, you have time to ask questions first. And if you don't like it, don't look.
