Description
Piebald animals get their unusual coloration as a result of a genetic mutation known as Leucism, which affects the amount of pigment in an animals' skin. They usually have splotches of white and normal pigmentation haphazardly arranged on their bodies, making them appear 'partially-albino'.
According to some sources, less than 1% of deer in America display piebald coloration, as the condition is extremely rare. This is the ONLY piebald deer pelt I've ever offered for sale. It is professionally tanned and has a sweet smoky smell from the tanning process. Though older pelts will often shed, this one is in excellent condition and has no hair loss.
